Hi,
I'm looking to build following system:
- Keep the temp in the HLT tank (left) steady with (multiple) heating elements and an inkbird
- The temp sensor of the inkbird is located in the mash
- Circulate hot water through the mash using a immersion chiller (heater in this case).
Some remarks:
- Heating the mash could be problematic or very slow. A solution for this would be to first heat the kettles with a gas burner. Extra problem: insulation does not work well with gas burners
- Multi step mash or mashout could be problematic. Solution: accept that you only can do single infusion or use extra gas burner when upping the temp.
- Hoses should be kept as short as possible to ensure a minimal temp loss
Is this system feasible?
