I came up with a pretty cool multi use tool in the brewery.... sparge, rack and whirlpool with the same tool. totally adjustable Just change the way you put it in the kettle.
We are building these to YOUR specs for YOUR kettle. This can get your sparge plate down to about 1/2 the kettle depth for those smaller batches...
I have been building the sparge systems for several years now and this has come out of it.
