I'm going to be traveling to Charleston at the end of the month for a work meeting and figured I'd pick up a bag or two of grain, so I don't have to deal with shipping to Sumter.

Of the LHBS's in Charleston, which is better (price, selection, freshness) for bulk grain?

I have been to 2 different shops and they are both great. There is beer engineer supply in N. Charleston and then there is Yeast everything homebrew in Mt. Pleasant. Both are great to deal with but I have never bought bulk grain from either as they mill it for me. I have seen people buy bulk grain at both though. My personal favorite shop is beer engineer supply but that is more so for convenience as Mt. Pleasant is further from me.
