Question: How do you plumb, preferable all stainless steel, from a sanke D coupler to a faucet, without using a shank?
Background: I ferment in a half barrel sanke keg and want to move to having the ability to do pressure fermentations. With a sanke spear and coupler installed, I can connect a spunding valve to the CO2 in port on the coupler, with the duckbill/Thomas valve removed, and I would like to plumb a facet as close as possible to the coupler’s beer out port. My intent is to use the faucet as a sample port once fermentation is near completion.
Possible solutions:
1. I know that I can use a configuration like what is shown in the picture. However, what I don’t like about this is the it is plastic that allows oxygen ingress and the hose would need to be shortened.
2. Use Duotight type fittings including a Duotight valve. This isn't stainless, but certainly inexpensive.
Any suggestions using just stainless?
