I just used latest YVH Galaxy for the Jabba Juice recipe on Big Brew Day. Haven't tasted it yet so fingers crossed. It's only a third Galaxy though so we'll see.
I feel like this is similar to when you buy a t-shirt/hat at a brewery, which my wife and I do regularly. The tablet thing all breweries use always includes my $40-$60 in shirts when it auto calculates the tip. I'm not tipping $15 just cause I got shirts with my 2 beers. So annoying to have to...
I work until 2:30pm Saturday and then have to go back to work at midnight for the overnight shift. I've never participated in Big Brew Day but wanted to so against my better judgment I've got the ingredients to brew the Jabba Juice between my shifts. May chicken out and brew Sunday instead.
Well curiosity got the best of me so I entered the whole recipe in Brewfather. What batch size are you doing? Leaving my equipment at 5.5g batch size I got 90 IBUs. If I bump it up to the 6g batch size the recipe is for I get 86. So a little higher than what they say. I'm guessing if you follow...
So I just added a 1.5oz hop stand of Citra for 20min at 194 degrees (what the recipe calls for) to one of my brown ales in BrewFather and it only added 18.4 IBUs. What is yours showing?
Made a starter last night of wy1968. Gonna brew Gumballhead clone tomorrow. Also kicked my keg of Pseudo Sue clone while making the starter so only dark beers on tap for a few weeks.
Edit: Forgot to add I ordered the hops needed for one of the Star Wars beers to make on Big Brew Day.
I know for sure less than 5 years ago a pint of Helles from the tap at my local Lager only brewery was just $5. So to see $5 for a pint can at the liquor store is so sad.
Hope you enjoy it. While the recipe didn't turn out to be the beer I was looking to copy it did turn out to be a very good beer. Everyone at the party enjoyed it. We were drinking it two weeks to the day from when I brewed it. So I think it could only have been better if it had chilled and...
I've only used BrewFather so I can't compare, but I love it. It includes a water calculator. The calculator has CRS/AMS listed as an option but I don't personally use them.
Well this is interesting. I will admit my palate is novice and my knowledge of what taste/senstion/mouthfeel equates to what ingredients is not great. And the vocab for all these things is something I'm still learning. Just read a whole article on "roundness" as I didn't know exactly what that...
I know this is the second clone question I've started recently but putting the previous experiment on the back burner while I focus on one I've worked on longer care more about.
I've been working on a clone for Epic Day DIPA from Eddyline brewery for about 6 month now. I think I've just about...
