In the last 3 years, I've had a really significant jump in the quality of my beers, and I've attributed it primarily to great yeast health and viability. As the saying goes, brewers make wort, yeast make beer. There's a crazy amount of information out there about yeast health and starters, and it's widely recommended, but I thought I would share this video from my friend and I's youtube channel. We had a longish interview with a member of our club that makes truly outstanding beers, and there's a lot of good information in it, on both yeast starters, but also a fairly easy way to do a fast fermentation test for each of your batches.
John (our guest) almost drops out of frame for awhile there, but you can still hear him.
Hopefully it's OK to self promote a bit here, but if not, please feel free to let me know.
