    Foam. Yikes.

Had a small leak around the quick disconnect of my keg. I figured it was the post (after swapping disconnects) so I de-pressurized , unscrewed post, checked fittings, put keg lube on o-rings. Still leaking. Came to realize it WAS the disconnect, but where the QD screws on the to the barb. So...

    Efficiency Issues - UPDATED

Might be a little overdramatic here, but if someone can talk me off a ledge, that'd be great. After several full volume BIAB brews in the mid to low 60% efficiency, I figured I'd try a sparge to see if this would bump my efficiency. I told the LHBS to double crush, but honestly grains looked...

    Homebrewing Nightmare

So I thought I was getting pretty good at this home brewing deal. Dialed in the Anvil Foundry, moved to BIAB, brew days are a breeze now. Woke up this morning and decided to check the keezer for some reason, and... well, the keg of Kolsch that I just transferred a few days ago was floating...

    BIAB w/ Hops?

About to do my first BIAB brew w/ the Anvil Foundry. I picked up a Wilser bag but was wondering if anyone has used another full size (grain) bag for the hop additions? I gotta go with swapping out bargain basement Amazon taps with NukaTaps. Didn’t realize how much better the pours would be.

Scored a Ferm Fridge on Offer Up

So after about 8 brews deep on the Anvil cooling system (using the 7.5 Anvil ferm bucket) I was pretty much over the daily ritual of adding ice to the cooler. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome system to keep your fermentation in the mid to high 60's. I decided to jump on Offer Up and see if...

    Anvil Foundry w/Beer Smith

I think I'm in the right place... Complete n00b wanting to get the first brew right. Plugged in the recipe to Beer Smith (10lbs Grain, Anvil Foundry 10.5 profile), and it is telling me to add 12.5 strike water (3.125 gallons) and 4.39 sparge. I noticed in the booklet it suggests 5.8 gallons...
