    GOOD on Netflix STREAMING?

Just watched Rainbow last night. If you are a fan of rock and roll history, it documents the Rainbow Bar and Grill and Whisky-A-GoGo establishments on the Sunset Strip.

    Better Call Saul

So I managed to catch all the way up to S5E10 last night. Interesting to say the least. I can begin to imagine what happens to Nacho (*spoiler*) although not quite so sure about Kim still. Also find myself REALLY getting into knowing who Gustavo Fring is and his absolute hatred and...

    Better Call Saul

So I finally got the chance to start watching Season 5. We ditched the cable/satellite packages back in early 2019 in favor of streaming providers. Ended up just paying $20 to purchase the whole season on Prime, which seemed pretty reasonable. I'm up through S5E4 at this point and still not...

Thanks Inkbird. This would make a fine addition to my brew barn.

    GOOD on Netflix STREAMING?

Oh trust me when I say that searching out those videos was something I wish I had not done. Some people have a sick glitch in their wiring and quite honestly when caught, they too should just be disposed of. BCS is on hold for me for a bit until I catch up and things slow down at work.

    GOOD on Netflix STREAMING?

Ozark has been a favorite of mine. Ripped through this entire season in 3 nights. The finale was cathartic. I have been a Better Call Saul fan for years now (after Breaking Bad, how could I not be interested?) There is a BCS thread that I recently revived from the dead. Tiger King.... 'nuff...

Irish Stout Ode To Arthur, Irish Stout (Guinness Clone)

This post could not possibly have happened at a better time. I had narrowed it down to this and one other stout recipe that I was planning on making this weekend. This makes my decision much easier... Thanks @Sudz

adding yeast sludge from bottom of fermentation barrel to new batch of beer

I was waiting until I got to work to add to my previous post because it was done on my phone and it was painfully time consuming to do it like that. Exactly what @eric19312 said.

adding yeast sludge from bottom of fermentation barrel to new batch of beer

And what you read is exactly what you could do. I do it all the time. If you were gonna do it, the first bucket is the place to do it. Transfer into your pressure keg thingy and then dump a new batch of beer on top of the junk in the bottom of the first bucket. As long as they are similar beers...

adding yeast sludge from bottom of fermentation barrel to new batch of beer

Dont bother. For a couple of reasons: 1) you could infect the new batch 2) if successful, you could cause odd flavors in the new beer, especially if the 1st beer was a stout and the 2nd beer was way different (like a lighter colored ipa or pale ale) That make sense?

    How to adjust water profiles

Absolutely. That is why I sent him the link to BrunWater first. The tutorial page is extremely helpful and absolutely must be read prior to attempting anything, PLUS Martin used to be on here all the time and he was an awesome help for many of my questions when I first started. To be honest, I...

adding yeast sludge from bottom of fermentation barrel to new batch of beer

I am still a little confused. There is minimal yeast sludge (which could very well be a combination of yeast and trub from the previous batch) that made it into your SECONDARY VESSEL? You are wondering if it is OK to keep that sludge in your vessel, brew a new batch of beer and put it directly...

    losing yeast through airlock/blowoff tube

Agreed with the above although I do have one caveat to add. Once upon a time, I got a bit slackish and figured Nah.. I dont need to check that blowoff hose today, it wont be a problem.... Went out later that evening and when I went into the brew area, the overwhelming smell of fermentation...

Noob questions regarding a recipe kit

Only thing I would add 1) Agreed that we need to know more about what type of recipe this is. My gut instinct is that it is partial mash / extract with steeping grains because quite simply the step from extract to all grain requires more equipment and IMHO more experience because there is...

Was I successful with harvesting yeast?

After checking out this article as well, I will agree that the author did give that ratio of 1c of water to 100g of DME, but as we have all said, that is just too concentrated. You did nothing wrong other than follow ill advice. Other than that, his advice is pretty sound. The key thing to...

March pump cavitation issue when boiling

That would be exactly where I would start as well after cleaning the pump. Pick up a couple of spares while you are at it.
